The fair was launched at a teaser ceremony in April 2022 in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, who also visited the uniform displays of SGMA members.

3rd Uniform and Garment Manufacturers Fair — Bengaluru

The fair promoted Solapur's garment industry and made uniform sourcing quicker and easier for retailers. 200+ brands took part, including Mafatlal, Only Vimal, Bombay Dyeing and Siyaram's Unicode, and over 10,000 retailers and sourcing professionals visited from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharashtra and beyond.

2nd Uniform Garment Fair — Solapur

A B2B fair bringing uniform, garment and home-textile (towel and chaddar) manufacturers under one roof, across about 100,000 sq ft under a central dome. A special handloom pavilion of the Government of Maharashtra promoted the handloom industry, door-to-door marketing ran across 14 states, and Indian embassies abroad helped promote the fair. Visitors could meet more than 200 manufacturers.

1st Uniform Garment Fair — Solapur

India's first trading and sourcing platform exclusively for uniforms, shirts and kids' wear. More than 100 brands took part and over 5,000 buyers came from across India over three days, meeting brands, seeing new products in an innovation gallery and forming business alliances. Delegates from Sudan, Israel, Qatar, Dubai, Nigeria, Malaysia and other countries attended, exploring the idea of “Make in Solapur”.

Textile India 2017, inaugurated by the Prime Minister, presented India as a global sourcing and investment destination — about 125,000 sq m of exhibition space, 1,000+ exhibitors, 2,500+ international and 15,000+ domestic buyers. Solapur's garment industry represented the Maharashtra pavilion.
A tzitzit vest made and exported from Solapur was selected to be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited the Solapur pavilion. Ministers who visited included Shri Nitin Gadkari, Smt. Smriti Irani, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Shri Ananth Kumar, Shri Subhash Deshmukh and Shri Arjun Khotkar.
